Welcome to Pet Angels – a brand new easy to access website designed to act as a link between animal lovers, and those furry little friends in need of a second chance. Pet Angels was created, compliments of Beckett and Associates Veterinary Services, as a free service to those looking to adopt or rescue their next – or first – pet. The site provides you with a large list of participating rescue groups and shelters in the Connecticut area, as well as a number of helpful hints that will make your next pet partnership the best that it can be! From cats and dogs, to horses and farm animals, Pet Angels will help your family decide on the best rescue for you. Our goal is to be the link between animal lovers like yourself and those animals desperately needing a new home. Additionally, we will also help to assist anyone who has recently lost a pet of their own, or found a pet that appears to be lost.
The idea of a website like Pet Angels was first brought up by some of the staff at Beckett and Associates. The concept was to develop a site, where any animal lover could have a direct link to local rescues in Connecticut. The staff here at Beckett and Associates wanted to become that link. Dr. Beckett, who has been a mixed practice vet in the Greater Hartford area for over 23 years now, has always believed very strongly in adopting pets in need of a second chance. Dr. Chediak and Dr. Brennan, our associate veterinarians, have also been involved in multiple adoptions of their own. It seems that every staff member here at the clinic has been involved with an animal rescue in one respect or another. While most of us have experience rescuing dogs and cats, some of us are even actively involved in reptile and equine rescues. Adopting a pet in need is certainly near and dear to our hearts, and the bond that occurs over time between pet and owner is priceless. It certainly seems that rescued animals are aware that they have been given a second chance. For that, they are forever grateful. As a veterinary clinic, we have been involved with many local rescues in the past, and this is our way of helping future adopters connect with those different organizations.
